One of the more popular places to look for a rental in the La Jolla area is the Southpointe community. These are considered townhomes located on multiple levels with the large majority of rentals that come on the market here being 3 bedrooms floor plans. Rental prices in 2021 have ranged from $3,350 up to $4,000 for a 3 bedroom townhouse with the price difference being a factor of limited supply and the condition of the property. For the most part, these are 12 month leases that can either renew after this time frame or go on to a month-to-month rental. The landlords at Southpointe typically take care of the association dues while the tenants would be responsible for all utilities. Some of the amenities that are included in the monthly dues include 3 communities pools.
There are a variety of great features found in these homes which can include large kitchens, outdoor patio size backyards and an attached two car garages. This is an excellent place for those with children as the Torrey Pines Elementary and the La Jolla High School area located nearby as well as a local park area. Rentals in this community have been consistently renting above the $3,000 a month range for the last couple of years with small incremental increases. The interesting thing to note is that the days on the market tends to be under two weeks for most properties this year so rentals are moving quickly.
