One of best kept secrets for finding a secure gated community located in the heart of the La Jolla Village area is the Montefaro neighborhood located at 1000 Genter Street.  The locations backs to the La Jolla Country Club golf course which offers it a private and very desirable location that is just blocks away from many of the retail and grocery stores as well some of the best restaurants in La Jolla.  On top of this these homes were built right around 2004 with very thought out 3 bedroom floor plans to choose from.  Finding a rental home here can be a little tough as on average we only see about 2 to 3 rental homes come on the market each year with only 2 listings in 2022 and 3 listings in the year 2021.  It's even hard to find the select properties

Rarely available are the apartment rentals that can be found a the "Ocean House" complex located at 400 Prospect in La Jolla, California.  It's hard to imagine a better location for a building that is situated high on a hill that overlooks the Pacific Ocean while being just a few block radius to the sandy beach.   We were honestly surprised to see rentals come on the market here as it's been many years since we have seen any listings for this complex come up in our multiple listing service.  There are currently three rental unfurnished rental properties that are being offered for lease that range slightly in price.

One of the more upscale areas to find a rental property is the Country Club area of La Jolla.  Over the last several years we have seen limited number of available rentals while there is still a huge demand for those looking for suitable rentals.  Often time these luxury properties are rented as furnished rentals for short periods of times which makes it tough for those looking for more longer term rentals.  A new Country Club rental home came on the market last month and is currently listed at $12,000 a month.  The property features a total of 3 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths with an approximate 4,643 square feet of living space.  It's being rented and the private remarks on this listing indicate that the owner is looking to rent it from May 1st to October 31st,

La Jolla is one of the premier beach towns in Southern California and has a wide range of rental properties available for lease.  In fact, it's actually one of the beat places to find newer construction homes that often can be rented for short or long term leases.  Of course, La Jolla is well known for being on the most expensive beach towns to live in San Diego County so it's not surprising to find rentals prices all over the map.  For example, one of the most expensive new construction rentals is an ocean front home located in the Wind and Sea community that is currently listed at $100,000 a month lease.  The house is very large and is advertised as having an approximate 9,100 square feet of living space and can be leased from anywhere from 30 days to 5

The La Jolla Summit neighborhood is a great place to find a large scale rental home in the La Jolla area that will often features panoramic ocean views.  The location is ideally situated between the Country Club and Mount Soledad areas of La Jolla that are well known for having great views.  As you can expect with the name, the topography of this community is located high up in the hills and often features nice city light views as well.  Listings in this area don't come on the market that often so we always recommend acting quickly when new rental properties come on the market here.

Rental prices in the La Jolla Summit community can vary but often times they are listed between $6,000 to $7,000 a month for a long term rental of 12 months or more.  On

La Jolla has a lot of great places to find a rental by the beach.  One of the more luxury accommodations are the condos located at 265 Coast Blvd.  All of the condos located here feature two bedrooms with a bonus office or den area that average around 1,658 square feet.  One of the unique features of these condos include high vaulted ceilings that can span put to 12 feet, gas burning fireplace in the living room, inside laundry and lots of windows to let in the natural light.

The location of 265 Coast is right across the street from the ocean front with the beach access point only steps away.  There is currently a two bedroom condo that's available for lease.  Unit #10 is a two bedroom, two and a half bath condo with 1,648 square feet and on the market

La Jolla is one of the most expensive real estate markets in San Diego county, especially when you are looking for a rental property.  One of the more affordable and well suited locations is the Villa La Jolla complex that offers rental properties for under $2,000 a month.  For rentals under this price point expect to find one bedroom condos that are under 700 square feet with one full bathroom.  For the most part, these are long term rentals with the landlord wanting. 12 month lease.  Select properties will allow for pets with an additional pet deposit which normally runs around $500.00 in addition to the security deposit.

If you are in the market to rent a luxury condo on the water then look no further than the 939 Coast Blvd building. 939 Coast offers a large variety of floor plans with studio, one, two and three bedroom condos available for lease. It's important to note that there will be a mixture of short and long term leases available here.  Short term would be one to two months or less while long term rentals are normally from six to twelve months or longer.
