One of the more upscale areas to find a rental property is the Country Club area of La Jolla.  Over the last several years we have seen limited number of available rentals while there is still a huge demand for those looking for suitable rentals.  Often time these luxury properties are rented as furnished rentals for short periods of times which makes it tough for those looking for more longer term rentals.  A new Country Club rental home came on the market last month and is currently listed at $12,000 a month.  The property features a total of 3 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths with an approximate 4,643 square feet of living space.  It's being rented and the private remarks on this listing indicate that the owner is looking to rent it from May 1st to October 31st,

There is a lot of advertising in real estate that conveys the message that the piece of property they are selling is a unique opportunity to buyers in the marketplace.  Often times, this is just used to sell the property even though the property may or may not have unique characteristics about it.  Foxhill Estate is a probably a true exception to this with a property that is boasting being the largest contiguous residential property in La Jolla with the main house boasting over 20,000 square feet of living space.  On top of all of that living space is the grounds that the property sits on which is being advertised as being a 32 acre lot that includes three additional lots that can be developed. La Jolla is arguably one of the best beach towns in San Diego to live with a wide variety of ocean view and oceanfront homes.  The density of these homes tends to be pretty tight with homes typically not located on large parcels on land.  One of the latest buyer trends are those looking for a detached living space for extended family members or guests.  Homes with a guest casita can be very hard to find in La Jolla due to the smaller footprints of the lots that often times don't accommodate these extended living spaces.  There are a few communities that we are aware of that do have guest casita homes and will be discussed below.
